Two Palestinians were killed on October 31, including one who succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier attack, as Israeli occupation forces continued strikes, shelling and gunfire across the Gaza Strip.

Diaa Abu Al-Rous was killed in an Israeli strike north of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to Anadolu news agency. Eyewitnesses said an Israeli drone struck near the headquarters of an electricity company north of the camp. Quds News Network also reported his death, locating the attack near the power station.

Separately, Arafat Al-Arair died from serious injuries sustained several days earlier when an Israeli strike targeted a vehicle in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City. A medical source at Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed his death to Anadolu.

Shelling and gunfire across Gaza

Israeli artillery and military vehicles targeted areas across northern, central and southern Gaza, according to local sources cited by Anadolu and Quds News Network. Heavy artillery shelling struck eastern Gaza City and areas north of the Bureij refugee camp. Anadolu also reported shelling in Deir al-Balah and eastern Beit Lahia.

On October 31 morning, Israeli artillery shelled the Al-Alami area near Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza. Shelling and heavy gunfire from military vehicles were also reported in Al-Salatin, west of Beit Lahia, according to Quds News Network.

In eastern Gaza City, Israeli military vehicles fired heavily toward homes near the Al-Sanafour intersection in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood. In southern Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire northeast of Khan Yunis and toward tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Iqlimi and Bir 19 areas south of the city.

Several tents were hit, but no injuries were reported from that gunfire, according to local sources cited by Anadolu.

Death toll S-since the ceasefire

Gaza’s Health Ministry figures published on 29 October recorded 1,574 Palestinians killed and 5,687 injured since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025. Another 845 bodies had been recovered during the same period. Those figures predate October 31’s reported deaths.

The ministry’s cumulative toll stood at 74,570 Palestinians killed and 175,808 injured since the start of Israel’s genocide in Gaza in October 2023.
