At a youth hackathon in Gaza City, young inventors are developing robots to inspect dangerous buildings, assist people with disabilities, and solve everyday problems.

Youth in Gaza are chiseling their future with firm hands but with resources nearly next to naught.

An event was held in Gaza City on 28 Sept. to cultivate youth talent by teaching innovative technical skills. The youth hackathon drew many young inventors, who showed a keen interest in developing robots despite a severe resource crunch. They designed and built robots to inspect dangerous buildings, assist people with disabilities, and solve everyday problems despite the realities around them.

According to Al Jazeera English, participants at the event are repurposing available components to create functioning machines, demonstrating ingenuity under limited circumstances.

The initiative reflects efforts to foster innovation and technical skills among Gaza's youth despite the territory's economic and infrastructure challenges. The hackathon provides a platform for emerging engineers and programmers to collaborate on robotics projects.
